Zimba Marimba Band is an exciting percussion group from Sweden comprised of eleven young musicians aged 17-21 years. The band has delighted audiences all over the world with energy filled performances. We have given concerts and played at multicultural conferences and festivals in the U.S., Germany, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe. In addition, we have presented numerous school concerts and workshops in Scandinavia. Our varied programme includes music, song and dance from Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa, Mozambique and West Africa.
We have played together for the last 6 years developing a fantastic ensemble feeling where we work to understand and exhibit the enormous spiritual beauty of African Music, especially Shona music from Zimbabwe.
